She is some politician... fluent Russian etc I reckon the Greeks have slightly mistimed things with what is going on in Ukraine.

Confused. When you say 'queer' do you mean homosexual or lesbian?

And my perception in Germany is that they all think of her as 'mummy', so she gets re-elected.

I did, these people sometimes look like fools but they are often very highly educated people.

Hardly surprising considering she grew up in the old DDR and was required to study Russian at school until the age of 18. If she'd grown up in West Germany I suspect her English would have been fluent and her Russian non-existent.
