I've got a Nexus 7 which has a micro USB socket and a camera with a mini USB socket. Is it possible
a) to connect a camera to a tablet
b) obtain mini to micro USB cables

That doesn't appear to fulfill my needs. I need a mini usb plug at one end and a micro usb plug at the other. Note PLUGS not sockets.

You use the adapter and plug your camera's normal USB cable in to it.

I found only very few, and very poor quality offerings when I looked for a direct USB micro to mini cable, but maybe things have change since I looked.
