My name is Milo and I am a product design engineering student at Brunel University,
For my current project I am working on developing a fold-able classic alpine ice axe, primarily for use when glacier crossing, as an emergency anchor and for light/ shallow climbing on show and ice.
If you have an interest more advice on any particular features you think are important or would be useful would be highly welcomed, who knows they might even go into production.
In-built hand-warmer for pick and adze.
Unscrewable top so camera can be fixed on; also supply optional screw-in add-ons, eg folding seat (a la gamebird shooting stick) and shovel blade
Yes it has been done a couple of times, I'm just trying to create an alternative system, hopefully making the axe fully T rated and lowering the weight to nearer 550g, thank you though
