I'm buying an avalanche airbag backpack, and heard some good words about the BCA float line. I would use the pack for anything from freeride to ski mountaineering and 27 liters seems perfect, the 32 being too big and bulky. My concern is fixing the ice tools on it, I have the Nomics and those pack don't look like they would fit on them, since they are tu curvy.
On different pictures there are different straps on top:

If anybody knows whats the deal or have any experience with it, I'd be happy to hear an opinion. Also am open for suggestions of a similar pack.
