I'm looking to replace my ancient knackered Nepals, and was thinking about these flash harrys. Has anyone any thoughts about how they compare for warmth, fit etc. for Scottish Winter/Summer Alpine ? Cheers.

Hi Grobbo,

Fit-wise I found them very similar. Warmth-wise I found them a little less warm, but perhaps that is only me!

I bot a pair to replace my Trango S boots which I loved have tried Trango Alp
Hated them! Thankfully the Trango cube have been great comfy lightweight
Pretty precise when it comes to footwork I struggled with the Alps in comparison
To the S different Last I think and a little stiffer perhaps feet just hated them!

Ive had a few winter Munro days in them and a couple of easy grade 2 climbs
Found them brilliant however as jack mentioned above were a little cold standing about not sure I'd climb much more than 2/3 in them to be honest winter walking easier climbs they'll do the job

Maybe try the new Trango Ice Cube boots if your after something a little stiffer or better yet try the New Nepal Cubes more in keeping with the type of boot your replacing.They Look Dynsmite!
