Went into FOPP looking to pick up The War on Drugs album and got the new Public Service Broadcasting one as well.

Heard some of it on R6 and it looks like an interesting idea which might be of interest to all the cool space / science geeks out there (I think there's a large cross-over with the UKC community)

I loved the first album and am thoroughly looking forward to the new one - task for the afternoon is to order it!

Have to say that what I've heard so far doesn't seem a patch on the last album. But they were stunning live at the Leadmill last year, which make's me think they are better as an audio-visual experience than merely an audio one.

Meanwhile Seasick Steve's latest single has been getting played a lot on 6 and it's a cracker

They're playing in Glasgow soon; might get tickets (at the O2 ABC which I don't like as a venue)

Mulling it over...

It's a real grower. I wasn't sure at first listen, but love (most of) it now.

And they're playing at The Foundry! What's not to like?

Is it not our Foundry? 8-o

It's not clear on the booking screen.

It's the basement of the student union building on western bank. I think the last gig I saw there was elastica in 94 !
In reply to Chris the Tall:

Seasick Steve is at the O2 Academy in Sheffield on the 16th of April.

Yeah, I checked. Shame. Would be fun to have one at The Foundry.

I like this forum as I have got tips for books, film and music here. You've just added to those recommendations, I received Inform, Educate, Entertain today and it's good. Thanks for the tip.

I think it's brilliant, more of an album than the last, which had the feel of a singles and b-sides compilation.
