Hi,

I was wondering if those of you that have experience with having a homemade training wall at home could lend a constructive opinion.

I'm having my attic converted and going to put a small training wall up there to compliment my training. I have a choice for how long and steep it could be. If I have it longer the angle has to be 55 degrees. If I have it 60cm shorter then the angle could be down to about 40 degrees.

I read that the angle should not be more than 40 which sort of makes sense to me hence my dilemma.

Could you not have your 40' degree board with a 60cm roof section?

55 degrees would be nails
Even at 40, you'll get burned off quicker than you'll expect.

Due to room constraints, mine's 40 degrees and wish I could have it at 30

Hey,
I built a 55 wall and then moved it to a different room where the space available meant I could adapt it to be longer and 40degrees. This angle is great in my opinion but has taken a year or so to be able to climb well on. I have loads of problems and moves to try as well as circuits up to around 35 moves....
Second vote for 40 wall with roof section at the top. Don't forget the fall zone also.
Cheers
