I'm looking to take a complete novice out for a day's climbing soon. Is there anywhere about I can hire a helmet, harness and rock shoes for the day?

You might find someone willing to lend you some gear though. Do you know what size shoes you'll be after?

Might be worth asking in a climbing wall local to the area, they might hire out the stuff for a day for a bit of a deposit or something (I've never tried this up in the Peak but it's worked other places)
