Hi folks, anyone seen or been near Gardyloo, Nos 2 or 3,(and 4 ) or Ledge route?
Looking for something at that level for Sunday possibly (or Glencoe if the better choice - Sron na Lariag?)
All the mentioned routes looked to be in good condition, and despite the wet weather of yesterday, the overnight refreeze has helped hugely. Ledge Route is still an awesome crest of snow.
Rob Johnson has put up some stunning and not to mention unique photos of Ledge Route on his blog:
In reply to tlbno1: Thanks Ken and Webster, been a while since I saw the Ledge looking like that!
Oh decisions??? Really fancy Gardyloo too after doing Chockstone Gully on the Cobbler a few weeks ago youtube.com/watch?v=uoaLbsKnO1o&
Not much of a cornice above Gardyloo gully, easy snow through the narrows then some very steep snow to the summit plateaux. Doesn't look like it's been climbed recently - no footprints heading up the gully (we walked part of the way up to climb Caledonia on the Indicator Wall) and no sign of anyone having climbed through the steep section at the top.
