I suspect Dowsett and Wiggins won't be the only two having a go at the Hour. We have had at least half a dozen attempts, plus an attempt at the women's Hour over the last few months.

Suspect that Wiggins will "put it on the shelf" for a while, so Dowsett and anyone else has only a limited time to get their name on the honours board. Spartacus seems to have lost interest after the rule change and is injured anyway, whilst Tony Martin can't focus on it the way that Wiggins can.

Surprised that no one else has had a go at the women's record though, but again maybe Trott, Armistead, Vos etc have all got different priorities (and less money)
