Just wondered if anyone knew the latest conditions of Aonach Eagach ridge? Is there much snow/ice up there?

Cheers

Was across the road on Dorsal Arete today. The snowilne went up and it was very claggy today but above 700m there is a huge amount of snow (today it was deep and wet). The rest of Dorsal Arete was sporting snow aretes that were occasionally chest deep. I'd expect to see plenty snow on the Aonach Eagach for a while yet. Today in Glencoe: http://alanhalewood.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/dreich-on-dorsal-arete.html

I crossed into Coire an Lochain from Coire nam Beithach today via SCnL (SCnBeith was falling down!) and Coire nan Lochain seemed to hold a *staggering* amount of snow, even compared to where we came from.

Soggy snow all the way to 1100m today. Snow line 400m.
