Hi All,

We caused a pretty big rock fall on this route yesterday. I would suggest it is avoided for a while as there is now a lot of unsecured mud, choss in limbo near the top of the route.

Does anyone have the details or the area rep so I can let him know too?

Thanks, Corin

Hi Corin

Thanks for the warning - I'll take a look at it as soon as I can. It's not a popular route (as I described it in the guide as "uninspiring"!) and so possibly no warning at the crag will be needed, though I will put a warning note on the crag page. Actually, thinking about it, I will do Indecisive Victory next time I'm at the crag, then I can have a look at it on abseil - I seem to recall there was a similar warning about the upper reaches of the neighbouring route Thread Security a few years ago

Cheers

Rick

In reply to Rick Sewards:

Hi Rick,

The rockfall was a couple of blocks about the size of a dish washer.

Under the curtain of roots and mud, the top quarter of the route will be very different now.
Perhaps it's been transformed into a 3star classic?

In reply to wilkinscl:

approximately about a quarter of the route is now in the boulder field at the bottom. It seemingly has been replaced by mud rather than fresh rock.

If anyone needs a reason to not do this already shit route. this is it.
