Wot no Steve McClure on the telly last night thread...?

Lots of comment about franco's brief brush with fame earlier in the week

But no thread about Steve McClure at Malham on the programme about the Pennine way (bbc1 at 7.30)

Climbing a trad route with the presenter, and talking about a project he's been working on for 4 years, with 40 or so attempts so far. I'm guessing that it must be super hard if its holding him up so long....

Anyone else see it? What was the trad route they did?

Saw that too, Steve came over as a generally sound geezer tbh.

No idea what route they were climbing but his passion for Malham was definitely showing! Think the project he was mentioning is that 8c+/9a hes been trying for ages.
