Ever wondered what dark magic goes into making climbing ropes? Well, leading climbing rope producers Edelrid are giving you the chance to find out close-up!
Edelrid's rope machine tour will see them bring a fully-functioning production machine from their manufacturing site in Isny to Ellis Brigham, Covent Garden, London store for the very first time on Wednesday 22 April to Sunday 26th.
This will give you an unprecedented opportunity to see how their climbing ropes are made.The slightly modified production machine will allow you to watch the bobbins move around the core, braid the sheath and produce a 6mm cord right before your eyes.
If you've any questions then the machine will be manned by an Edelrid representative to keep you clued up.
This is a great way to celebrate Edelrid's heritage of more than 150 years of rope-making experience!
