can anyone recommend some crags in the south west of germany?

If you're near or in Schramberg there's an outdoors shop that you can pick up a copy of the latest guidebook from,
it also covers Battert and Falkenfelsen, plus many more crags..

Loads, depends really on where in the SW you will be, when in the year, and for how long.

Pfalz sandstone towers, Gueberschwier just over the border from Freiburg in Alsace, the upper Danube valley limestone just East of the Black forest, Battert, come to mind.

If you have a bit more time, you could even try the Swiss Jura or limestone Alps (not more than a couple of hours from the Black Forest).

Visited the Pfalz sandstone region at Easter this year - reminded me of the Elbe Sandsteingebirge, i.e. steep and "adventurous". Beautiful area with good cheap beer and accommodation.
