Hi, I'm looking for any climbing or good camping info for the Squamish area, BC? Can anyone recommend a good campsite, hostel or any 'must-do' stand-out routes? all info greatfully accepted..

Also, if anyone is heading to the area, bouldering and trad climbing, I would be keen to hook-up as will be travelling the area and going to Yosemite over 2 months Aug/Sept. Will have a rack with me, rope and camping/exped gear.

Also would love to visit and climb in the Bugaboos but that's just too much kit!

thanks in advance, Simon.

Squamish Select or the broader Canadian Rock are the guides you need for the best routes at the grade you're climbing.

There's a basic cheap campsite under the chief where lots of climbers hang out.

The Howe Sound Inn and the Zephr Cafe and well worth seeking out in Squamish.

The grand wall, obviously. Plus everything else, it's all bloody great.

Simon, get in touch with Jade Littlewood, she is a friend of mine (not sure if you guys have met) living in Vancouver and can give you all the info and potential partners you would need.

Look her up on my fb page - she is also a friend of Edvins

I will prob be in Yosemite in August or September.

Cheers

I lived over there for 4 yrs and frequented Squamish as it was just 30 mins drive away, now in Ontario. I concur with this, it's what I was going to say, and you can take a shower at the local swimming pool if you choose the campsite, many climbers camp, it's better than the hostel believe me.
