Hello,

I'm heading to Clecy and it looks like the weather might not be great for climbing everyday, does anyone else who's gone have any other recommendations on what to do?

I'm fairly sure it's an activities area so there should be other things to do I was just looking for recommendations.

Cheers for any thoughts,
Neil.

There are some interesting walks - the camp site office can give you some leaflets.

Muck about on boats/kayaks

Do a walk calling at the numerous cheese and cider farm outlets

Visit the Normandy Beaches, Pegasus Bridge and numerous war cemeteries

The model train museum was surprisingly fun.

Hiring sit on canoes for the trip down from Pont-d'Ouilly back to Clecy is fun, be prepared to get wet though as there are several weirs to shoot on the way down.

Thanks for the additional replies, I got back a few days ago and despite the forecast I saw before hand it was actually good enough to climb everyday!

I know this is too late for you, but for future reference:-
If you have transport, the D-day museum at Bayeux is very good, and there's always the Bayeux tapestry.
Mont Saint Michel is easily doable on a day trip, and Cancale if you like seafood.
Barneville Carteret isn't terribly exciting although market day is OK.
You're not far from Mortain which is also worth spending a day at climbing.
