Porth Clais is a favourite - but it is tidal and it would depend on the age / maturity / experience of the 'kids'.

You could have a look at the South Face on St Davids Head itself (OS 722 278) for decent easy stuff on solid gabbro.

Took my daughter to Porth Clais. As Andy says I think its easy to get to, theres a big "trough" behind routes like Harbour Crack, Red Wall that helps stop them getting too close to the edge. I just lowered her down and she climbed up. Added bonus was seeing the seals watching her! What about Craig Caerfai, not far to go, beach nearby when their bored and you could top or bottom rope (lower them down the gully). Grades more at HS, but slabs, so not too intimidating (Mildred Mindwarp).
Have fun

The organ pipes might be worth a visit. Half a mile from St Non's chapel, with a big ledge to sit around on at the bottom.

You don't need to abseil either, although the descent is a bit scrambly.
