I have been asked to help out with our local park's fun day, and we have hired one of those outdoor climbing towers.
This is very expensive, and what I am looking for are suggestions as to how we can make it pay for itself, so we can at least cover costs.
The tower is 7.3 metres high, has 4 lines, and we have it for 5 hours.
Looking at what the committee wish to charge people for a go, it looks unlikely that straightforward climbing will earn enough money.
One suggestion is that we reserve 2 lines for a competition between 2 teams, each raising sponsorship, to see who can climb as high as popular landmarks, such as buildings or mountains.
Anyone been in a similar situation, or have any ideas?
Cheers, Rich
