Due this weekend to head Ben Alder way for a (possible Wintery!) walk. What is the long leachas like for an ascent? I'm a bit of a scaredy cat sometimes these days after a long lay-off away from the mountains and no time to build my confidence back up....some accounts say it is very exposed and has some steep rocky steps, some accounts say it's barely anything but a walk.

Also, has anyone been up there recently and had a look at the conditions?

I seem to remember it being a long walk with a couple of very easy steps. Nothing to worry about!

That's my memory of it too. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed it wasn't a bit more of a scramble. I don't remember any exposure.

Remote...yep, exposed...nope

Thanks all...I've had a few years off mountains due to heavy workload and getting punted about the country. I'd worked up to Winter grade II previously - Fiachaill Ridge for example which wasn't too stressful, but I seem to be back at square one.
