Anyone been up Glencoe in the last few days? Are the likes of curved ridge and Aonach Eagach snow free, or would we need spikes if we were heading that way?

Since then we've had another dusting and milder rain to remove it. This weekend looks like more of the same with cold but dry on saturday morning (I'll be on the Aonach Eagach) followed by warmer rain later then a dusting of fresh snow on Sunday.

Aonach Eagach had one patch of old snow just before last climb to Meall Dearg which was about 20ft across but avoidable with care and may be smaller now.
Curved Ridge had no old snow that was unavoidable until the cairn below Crowberry Tower. To go left around the Tower you would have to go onto large and exposed old snow where a slip could be catastrophic (axe or axe and crampons advisable) or you can go right around the Tower traversing across the top of Easy Gully on a loose and exposed path to the crest of Crowberry Ridge which is greasier and looser than anything on Curved Ridge but no technically harder.

Did Curved Ridge & Crowberry Tower on Wed, no snow on CR but there are patches of soft stuff near the top of Crowberry Tower and on the ascent of Stob Dearg. AE looked pretty clear.

Looks like you can nearly get down Coire na Tullaich without the snow being an issue but not quite. We definitely had to descend Creag na Tullaich to the west 8 days ago. The snow is receding steadily.

If you can't be bothered with snow in Coire na Tulaich a car stash or pick-up on the Etive road is defo worth considering. It's a pretty quick descent from the top of the Coire.

Plenty snow in the north facing corries this week and cold also on the tops. Aonach Eagach should be Ok.
We were in the Alex Mac Hut at Onich and got chatting with three guys staying there who had to abseil exit into/out of Coire na Tulaich.
