Why is the climb at Widdop called Fagin's Ridge?

I've just returned from a great day at Widdop, but began to wonder whether the name of this classic climb is due to a Mr Fagin having climbed it once, or whether it is a reference to the shape of the rock. If it is the latter I suggest it be renamed.

What is the route next to it called?

In reply to Stig:

So perhaps we should call it Pickpockets ridge, or the Areteful Dodger!

Fagin's ridge is much more subtle!
