Hi,
Used my Sawyer Mini water filter for the first time yesterday. Filtered some water from the Kinder but after filtering it was still quite brown looking. Anyone know if that is normal/ok? I was unsure if it was dirt or some sort of staining from the peat which cannot be removed. Needless to say i didn't drink it (was only using it to test it, had plenty of water with me).

It’s only a particulate filter, so it will not remove dissolved things. So this filter will not remove all colours or tastes.

It's tannin from the peat, it's harmless. I know someone who lives in the area and her tap water was that way. The water company started putting all sorts of chemicals in the water to try and "clean it". The chemicals were far worse for you than any amount of tannin.
