Keeping my feet warm

My B2 boots are quite snug, only used them in warm climes, with the one pair of socks.
I'm planning using them in the Alps in snow, but I'm worried 1 pair of socks isn't going to keep my feet warm enough.
Any suggestions?
What are the warmest socks for the thinness?
Any other ideas?

I'd just stick with one pair. There's a theory that two pairs make your feet sweat when your moving and then when you stop for any length of time standing in snow the dampness chills the feet. I'd never thought about this until about 5 years ago when I bought a new pair of Teko Expedition socks to go to the alps. I've never had a problem with cold feet since, except that is when stuck on a stance, Scottish winter climbing for prolonged periods. Plus two pairs make the boot a bit tighter and reduce circulation.......making the foot cooler.

You could try some good quality in-soles.

Don't lace the lower bit of the laces too tightly, it makes a huge difference.

If you are front pointing or otherwise climbing, having the ankle done up snugly is important, but crank the laces up below the midway eyelet and its a quick way to get really cold feet.
