Hi, I'm hoping to have a few days in Squarmish next month.

I have the topo for the route I'm doing, but know nothing about the place, the walk-ins, camping, do's and don'ts etc. So if anyone has any general info about the place, or a guidebook I could borrow to copy a few pages that would be cool.

Thanks.

Only a problem if the route you're thinking of is Angel's Crest, and others in that area. Apart from that everything's fine.

OP - all the info you need is here: http://www.mountainproject.com/v/squamish/105798170

I assume the university wall area is no where near that rock fall?

I've got the Squamish Select guide (a Quickdraw publication in the Rockfax style), 2012 Edition. You can borrow that or let me know the bits you're interested in.

Alan, If I could borrow it that would be great. I'll PM my address to you. Thanks.

Climbed there in June 2001 and used a Provincial Park campsite just up the road, fine early season. In wet weather the climbs on some of the outcrops can dry very quickly.
I believe "heavy duty" is resident in Squamish and is very active still, a source of local info should you run into him (ex Halifax, West Yorkshire).

heavy appears to be mostly into hula hoops and extra curriculars when I was there in 2012. Few friends invited him to dinner at the brew pub made for an entertaining evening.
