Fortunately my brother intervened on Sunday night (involving a lot of effort and interruption to his own life) before I did anything too daft. Life still feels sh1te and I'm still raw, but past the crisis point I was reaching. Thanks too everyone on here who responded, especially those who took the time to PM me.
