Redpoint Bristol is a large dedicated climbing wall in South Bristol. It's an exciting time here as we are about to celebrate our 2nd birthday and we are also about to double in size making us a major climbing wall with 130+ roped lines, 330+ routes, 4 bouldering areas and a massive Crazy Climb. Our instructional / coaching program is massive and growing. Both because of our expansion and due to a few people leaving us (mostly to go to uni) we are looking for friendly and enthusiastic climbers to work in a variety of positions within the centre. These “all-rounders” will have a variety of duties, depending on the day, including:

Instructing:
• Running session for groups of all ages and abilities.
• Providing safe, fun and progressive sessions.
• Promoting the growth of the centre, encouraging repeat bookings through your enthusiastic and professional attitude.
• Aiding the reception to ensure all paperwork is correctly filled in, collected and filed.
• Aiding the duty manager in their daily tasks as necessary.

Reception:
• Greeting our customers with a positive, welcoming, enthusiastic and professional attitude.
• Booking instructed sessions and selling memberships along with items from our small shop.
• Responding promptly and enthusiastically to queries received by email or over the phone.
• Aiding the reception manager in finding and organising cover for instructed sessions.
• Administration and filing.
• Aiding the duty manager in their daily tasks.

Experience and Qualifications:

Successful candidates will ideally (but not essentially) fit the following criteria:
• Be a friendly, enthusiastic climber that wants to develop a career in the climbing wall industry (this is the most important attribute).
• Hold the CWA or SPA (training may be provided for the right candidates).
• Have a valid first aid certificate.
• Have been climbing for a minimum of 2 years.
• Have experience working with EPOS till systems.
• Have customer service experience.

Pay, hours and benefits:
• Contracts will be part time with full time hours available at busy times of the year.
• Pay starts at £7.50 per hour plus holiday pay at 12% (£8.40 including holiday pay).
• Opportunities to develop your career. (Our Route Setting Manger and Assistant Operations Manager both started their careers with us).
• Varied job role that keeps your position fresh and rewarding.
• Work with a fun, friendly and professional team.
• Staff are given free training to develop their coaching skills.
• One to four roles becoming available either immediately or at the end of the summer.
