I forget details of timing but we did Pollux and Castor from the Testa Grigia hut and back to KM at a sedate pace so no problems with Pollux alone from the lift. I think the W flank is steep and known for becoming icy so perhaps not best to descend*. For variety, from the summit of Pollux the ridge to the col between it and Castor is OK (and less crowded) but nothing special. It does set you up for Castor too, if you are going well.
*Edit: Perhaps worth ascending? You can see it clearly as you approach the SW ridge.
