The Oggie 8 challenge is one of the main fundraising events for Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation. This year is Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation's 50th Anniversary, and also our 8th year of running the challenge which is taking place on Saturday 8th August. The fully marshalled route starts and finishes at Oggie Base, and goes over 8 summits in the Ogwen Valley (Carnedd Llewellyn, Yr Elen, Carnedd Dafydd, Pen yr Ole Wen, Y Garn, Glyder Fawr, Glyder Fach, and Tryfan).

There will be a party after the event, including food, and each competitor will be given a goodie bag.

Cant make this year but have done this in the past and can fully recommend it, tough but very good fun.

This year we have decided to allow teams of two to enter the Oggie 8. We are also offering a shorter route option consisting of Y Garn, Glyder Fawr, Glyder Fach and Tryfan for those who want to take part but don't wish to attempt all 8 peaks.
