Serious nipple chafing past few runs, any recommendations? Just normal plasters?

Blokes have it tough sometimes!

Get a hairy chest.

A pot of vaseline has many uses.

I was born with one central nipple only, so I don't get chaffed

It's a warm weather thing.

Yes, plasters are fine, as long as they don't fall off. I have found it better to buy boxes of dressing strips so I could cut big chunks off, and that for staying power, the order of merit is Lidl's>Boots>Elastoplast>Sainsbury>Superdrug.

The top you wear also makes a big difference, and it's not always obvious why. Under Armour is better than Nike, I find.

Mine were both bleeding after a long run in the rain last weekend as I forgot to plaster them, in the week they scabbed and now they are just sore. Normal plasters work fine...i just forgot them. (I also have a hairy chest...that doesn't make any difference)

ive tried vaseline and anti chafing things.
Best thing that works is shave / trim the hair around the nipple and apply a fabric plaster (not waterproof ones theyre crap)

Excellent stuff. Apply it everywhere you're likely to get man-chaff!

Nipples. Eventually they just become tough.

Rather surprisingly no-one yet seems to have suggested just not wearing a top

Micropore tape over your nips.

Zinc oxide tape works for me...remove with care after running!

Polystyrene cups! Tried all sorts of tape including even duct tape and surgical stuff. It all just falls off. I actually find bits of tape as I run along from the previous run. I haven't found an ideal solution yet for me but the cups worked a treat. I was in agony out on a moor road and seen one so tried it and it worked great. I then found another further along so did the other and got back pain free. Did look a bit of a tit though.

corn plasters are brilliant, just don't strip off your shirt in female company , they can't stop laughing!

compeed blister plasters are the best and will survive ultra distance events and ironman etc easily
