Nairobi Transit Visa question

Hi,

I am looking to Book a flight via Nairobi and have 20 hours in Nairobi - not wanting to stay in the airport can anyone tell me if you can get a transit visa to leave the airport for the day?

You didn't say what nationality you are, but anyway you've probably seen this site about Kenya visas:

Thanks abseil, i've seen the generic page (just emailed them again). I'm a British citizen - sorry for the oversight. I was there 15 years ago and i'm sure i got one then, but a lot of places have stopped them i believe??

You can't leave the airport unless you buy an 'on the spot' visa. Can't remember if they were $10 or $20.

I was in Kenya in March , visa is purchased in the airport , no issues... Think it was 50 USD in cash.
