I've got Adobe Footshop, but it only does ankles and costs a packet.

Try lightwomb. It's a bit more accessible.

Just trying light room 6 or what ever it is called now, and I have to say that the face detection is awesome.

I just wish that I could find it for the £65 that some people are quoting on other threads.

Anybody know of a free version, even with Linux?

Have you tried looking at Photoshop elements? It's a lot cheaper than Photoshop, often on sale too, and I've found the facial recognition pretty good but can't compare to Lightroom as I've not used it.

I use Linux but haven't come across any facial detection software for it but can't say I've looked either.

That's the upgrade cost from previous versions, £103 for full version:

£65 is the upgrade price for standalone

You'll need an adobe ID. Follow purchase link bottom right:
(For desktop only. Mobile capabilities not included.)

Rich's link is more direct - use dropdown menu to select either full or upgrade.

I looked at fotobounce last year and for some reason it only worked with facebook or other such stuff.

However a look at their site suggests that they may have changed and broadened their abilities.

Thanks.
