Hi, not sure this will help but I've just spoken to my cousin who has done quite a bit in the Tatras with her other half. Basically you would be going up a route that the guides normally use with the clients, so if you were to meet any on your way they will probably give you some grief
As members of a climbing association you could go unguided as long as the route is graded above III. And I got impression this one isn't hence it would be 'illegal'. Saying that she did mention that the route is not technically hard but hard to find the way/orientation is tricky. They used a different way but still in 'illegal' way - apparently everyone does it
Its called Gypsy's Ferrata or something like that. Basically if you pick a nice sunny day and go up Velicka Proba its gonna be busy. 90% times guides use Velicka with the clients, so if you go up Gipsy's Ferrata there is less chance of getting any bullocking for breaking the rules
She went up it in winter and loved it
