Will be in Peru this summer and for the first time in my life, will be paying for a guided trek (taking kids and seeing a largish chunk of the south of the country, so logistics of independent trekking impossible. Plus, my knees are old).
Which of the two - Lares and Salkantay - have people done and which would you say was better? Kids old (and experienced) enough to cope with either and costs are about the same.
