I've built various sizes of cracks in my out house/woody. I'm getting on ok with hand and fist sized cracks but struggling with ring lock and finger sized crack. This size crack currently has a smooth wood finish. I could paint the inside with coovar and concentrate on getting technique wired or should I keep trying/struggling and wait for hopefully a eureka moment? All advice appreciated, thanks.

In reply to Chris Hines:
Persevere, I've got a couple of cracks which flare from thin fingers to wide hands over two 3.5m lengths. Rattly fingers are one of the harder widths, perhaps use some small screw on footholds until the strength has built up enough not to need them.
Edit - or practice hangs on the ring locks
