Theres a sheep on the ledge below the "hand traverse" pitch.

I managed to get her up several short steep rocky sections to a better, larger ledge with more foliage. She had eaten most from her current ledge.

Have emailed Steve at needle sports, don't know if she will be rescued so in the mean time watch out for a wooly jumper!!

I remember years ago doing the HVS on the upper cliff of the Glyder and there was a sheep on the top belay ledge, which is not large, and there was very little grass left !

You can walk off from that ledge before the hand traverse.

Maybe the sheep didn't have the beta.

Or maybe it was waiting to evolve the means to complete the hand traverse.

It was a lamb, in the environs of the Hand Traverse, when I was last up there a couple of weeks ago... Must have grown up quickly?

I remember 'rescuing' a kid from an isolated ledge on Tryffan. I put it inside my coat and manfully climbed to the top.

It shat and pissed inside the coat, then ran back down the pitch to continue eating from the grass ledge, from which it had been rudely removed!

Never mind complaining; just think yourself lucky that you didn't wind up in some sort of Classic Rock Operation Yewtree thing?

There's still time, and that sounded like a confession to me.

Kids these days. They're like wild animals.
