What are your opinions of the series?

Interesting series, it touched upon those points at times. But I guess it wouldn't make too good TV if they weren't enjoying living in the wild!

Can't let the boyfriend watch it mind, he'll get ideas about finding somewhere uninhabited to live and we'll be off!

Yeah, those Welsh kids in the last show looked a bit crackers. But if they were half as obsessed with dog sledding as I am climbing they've probably pretty much made it in life (apart from the fact the bloke was obviously running away from his past, hey ho). Didn't properly watch the other episodes, caught a bit of the jungle one where they used old car tyres.
Weirdly enough, both couples both said "if you want to do it, just take the plunge" don't know if that's good advice, but definitely says something about the character it takes to succeed at off the grid lifestyles, gotta be a bit "go for it".

Ben Fogels original version of this show is/was FAR superior, Mc'cloud is such a c-o-c-k .. he makes it all about himself, pontificating and pondering away, left, right and center, it'd be a great show if they edited his reflections out and focussed on the punters themselves !!! who gives a sheet what that old tw*t thinks about anything anyway ?

He never seems to ask what happens when they get ill or when they get old. He never seemed to ask about the fact that kids don't get to socialise beyond the family....
