I've got a curious problem with my right arm. It's resulted in a darker skin tone on the outside of my hand, forearm and half way up my upper arm, strangely there's a lighter coloured stripe under my watch.
I've not been doing any different exercise recently, or climbing in an unusual style, my diet is much as it was and I haven't been abroad. I asked a friend with some medical knowledge, (well, he has a scouts first aid badge), and he said it could be 'van drivers arm', but couldn't give me any more information. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Just to clarify, do you live in the UK? This is important in the diagnosis...
In reply to NottsRich:

Why do you wear your watch on your right arm?
In reply to Removed Usergilesf:
If your worried, go to your GP. Probably too specialised a query for UKCers.

It is known as 'chicken wing'. It usually affects the right arm in the UK and Australia. Curiously it is the left arm which is 'attacked' in the US.

It's an automatic movement and I'm right handed, I'll leave that with you...

Hi NottsRich, yes, I do. Is it something not usually found in the UK?
