Hello.

My girlfriend and I are attending a wedding in Banchory at the end of this week and have a night and a day free afterwards to head off for a bit of an explore of the local(?) uplands.

Unfortunately I've buggeredy ankle so can't climb, so I'm looking for suggestions for a good, fairly remote walk in that area of the Cairngorms, with some nice views and either a nice wild camping spot, or good bothy at the end of it. Even though I can't climb, big cliffs are always nice to look at.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Tom

Head east up Deeside, and go up Glen Muick. Walk in past Loch Muick to the bothy at Glas Allt Shiel. Walk up under the Dubh Loch crags (they don't come much craggier), then loop back over Lochnagar (loads more big cliffs)...
