I was browsing the Bolton Mountain Rescue page when I found an article about an incident at 'Devil's Canyon', Haigh Plantation, Wigan. I can find the plantation but no idea where the actual location is.

The incident involved a man falling off a rockface and another frozen by fear to the face. There is no logbook and I've never heard of the place so was hoping a local can shed some insight, please?

In reply to radddogg:
it is a small quary in the woods, it had some climbing holds on when I found it, they used to advertise it, but not worth bothering unless you are local. I found it by chance, as you go over the river bridge, take a left turn and skirt the woods it is on the very edge of the plantation. You can see it on Google Maps, just below a farm/house.
