On my full sus Ive currently got onone smorgasbord (made by maxxis) 2.25" tyres. They work great and handle really nicely just that they drag quite a lot on longer rides so was thinking of changing the rear to something with less rolling resistance and/or narrower.
Ive mostly been looking at Maxxis Minions, HR, Ardent, Panaracer fire xc etc.
Im not looking to spend more than £35 and ideally would be tubeless compatible and in 26" size.

I use Bontrager XR3 2.20 on the rear. Absolutely no idea if they have more or less drag than any other make/model. Did do the Yorkshire Dales 300 with it (and an XR4 on the front)

My LBS reckons that if the manufacturer of them was Maxxis then they'd sell little else.

Exactly what I was going to suggest. Make sure to get the Team Issue version.
