The World was your Lobster, the best 'Spiv' the World have ever seen, we have lost yet another great actor; RIP George.

I guess quite a lot of you would not have hear of George Cole due to your young age, but to us oldies he was Arthur Daily or Flash Harry, another sad loss.

a sad loss, one of my favourite actors, cashed out at 90 after a short illness, not a bad way to go I guess.

I bet 'Mr Chisholm' and his Welsh Druid 'DC ‘Taff’ Jones' are happy to see him gone. I wonder if they along with 'Mournful Morris', 'Self Inflicted Sid', 'Freddy, the Fly', 'Scotch Harry', 'Pongo Harris' and 'Dipso Pete' will be at the funeral?

In reply to Richard Smith:

I liked Chisholm.a brilliant character.played by a great actor

Arthur always got the last laugh with him.

Always wondered whether Minder was Patrick Malahides (Chisholm)launchpad to the lofty heights he reached.

And you forgot 'Fat Charlie' played by Roy Kinnear.another fine actor of the time.

Terry had a shag and a fight in every episode

I'm 41, loved Arthur Daley as well.

Minder theme tune brings up nice memories of watching telly at home with a cup of tea and toast in front of a coal fire before bed.

Remember laughing at an episode where he finds out he has been described by someone as 'some spineless old dollop" and puts on a really hurt shocked expression.

He's been overshadowed by Cilla - what a shame. I used to love Minder too. I recall my Nanna bought me the single of the theme tune one Christmas and I was quite thrilled. youtube.com/watch?v=nHA_K0XZ2Hc&
