I've got some American Classic Hurricane wheels coupled with Gatorskin hardshell's on my commuter. I've only had 2 visitations in the 2 years that I've been using this combo but have found it a real nightmare getting the tyre off the rim. Is this normal?
Thanks

Havent used that particular combo but in my experience the tougher tyres can be an arse to get on and off. Not sure why but they do tend to provoke swearing when they do fail.

Here's how I got on with GatorHardShells earlier this year:

And someone else had problems getting a tyre off:

The answer is quite simple: just sprinkle the rims and beads with talc, the best natural dry lubricant for sticky rubber know to Man.
