16 year-old Jim Pope won his first European Youth Cup round in Mitterdorf, Austria last weekend. Despite never having made a podium position before, Jim went straight for the top spot, beating some tough competition and securing a fantastic 5th place overall in the series.

Jim also flashed Dead Calm 8a at Kilnsey as well as on sighting the Ashes 7c+ and doing Urgent Action first red point he warmed up on The Directissama 6c+ o/s and top roped Face Value 7a+ in a day, he did The Bulge 8a first red point the day before as well as Truth Drug 7b+ o/s and Highway 365 6c+ o/s too.
