Thinking of heading to france for a long weekend in Oct and would like to do some Via ferrata. Sadly Easyjet flights to Grenobles dont start till December.
Is there anywhere else you could suggest that I could get to without using a car or spending most of the weekend on a bus/train?

I do't know if this would fit in for a long weekend (might be a bit tight for connections) but you can fly to Venice then get a bus to Cortina (about 2 hours I seem to remember). From cortina there's loads of via ferrata within walking/ bus distance

IF it's just a long weekend I'd recommend hiring a car to make the most of it.

I might shelve this idea untill we can make a longer trip of it and do something UK based instead.
