Ailefroide rope length

Hoping to do some multi pitch in Ailefroide next week. Will a standard 60m rope suffice for the descents?

Haven't done any multi-pitch there (only single pitches and bouldering) but my guidebook (Briançon climbs) recommends "at least 80m".

Probably better off with half or twin ropes. I've done abseils there that are the full 50 metres.

For the multi pitch routes half ropes are the way to go. You should get away with 50 m ropes but 60's are more comfortable.

You won't get down with a single 60m. 50m doubles are fine.
