Selling a car via PayPal

I'm selling a car and have received an offer from someone who claims to be working offshore. They have offered to send the money via PayPal without viewing and would then arrange for collection.

The email was worded in broken english but comes with a traditional english name and stood out a fair bit.

Just wondering if anyone could advise if anything could go wrong with this? I Don't use PayPal but I understand that the buyer often has more protection than the seller?

Any thoughts would be welcomed.

Thanks.

it's a scam. You won't be able to prove you've delivered the item and they'll claim money back through Paypal. Or this: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Access-and-security/Car-Purchase-Scam/t...

Agreed, it's a scam, don't touch it or you will lose the car and the money

Had the same offer a few years ago when selling a car, common scam tactics but it was Western Union based back then.

Cash in my hand or bank transfer is all I'll take!

Thanks for the reassurance - first message was normal and the second sounded dodgy as described...

Will continue to look for a buyer!
