Hey All,
Just giving this trail run a bit of an advert here for those who might be interested. I ran this as my first ever marathon and also trail marathon. It is set in the Nissedal region of Southern Norway (anyone who has climbed at Haegefjell will know the region) and it offers a 21km, 43km and 82 km race. Terrain is quite wild, with some thorough swamp in places, river crossings, slippery granite, forest trails, the works. I ran the 43 km, and that gave a total of ~1600 m elevation gain over two mountains which has taken all my calf-muslce effort out of me for the next few days! It was very well supported throughout, and I was made to feel very welcome as being the only native English speaker on the docket
Anyhoo - not sure how the forums or UKC respond to plugs like this, and might get shot to hell. If not, it's something I recommend for those with the interest for such things
