scarpa vapors old and new

Lots of end of line scarpa vapours on sale. Considering stocking up as new ones cost almost double.
I loved the old vapours, perfect in every way except the heel is a bit baggy, get blisters.

So quick question, is the heel tighter in the new vapors?

Yeah but then I have to go to a shop and I don't actually need new shoes for another few months so won't be buying the £120 ones - and don't like wasting people's time, except on online forums

Fair, Although find theres enough differences between shoes and feet shape another persons opinion often doesn't help.
I find i can't wear Scarpas at all, fits good, apart from the back of the shoe rides so high on my Achilles with so much pressure they draw blood.

New Vapours have a more relaxed heel, aside from that there's not much difference between the previous model, extra bit of rubber for toe hooking and a ribbed heel. I liked the relaxed heel as I found the old Vapours really tight in that area.
