Advice wanted on crampons...

Hello,

I have just moved to Switzerland and am hoping to begin developing my alpine mountaineering skills. I need to buy some crampons however am not sure what to look for. I have read a few articles, but still would like to hear from someone who knows their stuff.

I wont really be doing much vertical ice, more gulley climbing and hiking on snow.... So what crampons do you think I should go for. I have La Sportiva Nepal EVO boots....

Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers,

I'd go for a solid all-round mountaineering/walking crampon. Something like the Grivel G12 or Petzl Vasak.

G12 or Vasak as everyone said. I'd go for the heel clip binding not straps on a Nepal Evo. Petzl call it Leverlock.
